Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Financial Technology Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and technology, with the ability to bridge the gap between financial operations, financial reporting, and technological solutions. This role will involve working closely with the technology department to implement and manage financial systems, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization.  This person will be the vendor contact for all financial systems. This is a hybrid position located in Boston, MA

What you’ll do:

Select, develop, implement, and maintain financial systems and software to support the organization's financial operations

Collaborate with finance and IT teams to identify and address system requirements and improvements

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial system data through regular system audits and checks

Provide technical support and training to finance staff on the use of financial systems and software

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in finance technology and recommend new tools and solutions as needed

Develop and maintain dictionary of financial terms and calculations used across the organization

Work with IT maintaining the Enterprise Data Warehouse as it relates to financial data.

Build out financial reporting resulting in less reliance on Excel

Create reporting with drill-thru capabilities to allow Finance team more data access

Automate manual tasks using technology solutions

Liaison for finance technology vendors

What you’ll bring:

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

6+ years in Financial Planning and Analysis, Strategic Finance and Technology

Previous experience driving technology transformation

Strong understanding of financial systems, software, and data management

Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, PowerBI, SQL)

Experience with Anaplan technology is a plus

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
